There is a place for you in our
Community of Faith!
The congregation and staff of
The United Church of Fayetteville extend
to you the warmest of welcomes. We invite you to find your church home
here in our midst.
The best way to get to know our
church is to join us for Sunday worship and learn more about the beliefs
that inform and inspire our lives. We also invite you to join us in
programs and service opportunities available to you here as bread for the
journey. You will find more information on this website. If you would
like to talk with the pastor or an elder, please call the church office.
We look forward to sharing with you in ministry and Christian community.
Rev. Dr. Linda D. Even, Pastor
About United Church
We
are a gathering of people who believe God loves and accepts every person,
and we, in turn, are called to be God's love in the world. We welcome all
persons regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual
orientation or differing abilities, and seek to include everyone in all
aspects of the life and leadership of United Church.
Over 60 years ago the Presbyterian and American
Baptist congregations of Fayetteville united to become a single congregation while
remaining tied to both denominations. We have experienced unity under God
within the diversity of gifts and thinking that such a union produces.
For over half a century we have tried to be a living example of Jesus'
wish in his prayer, "May they be one, so that the world will believe
that you sent me." (John 17:21)
Come share with us at United Church!
